A week-long residential workshop to sacred sites that took place in Ireland with Pat Angove and Eloha, 5th to 12th September 2009

County Wicklow, Ireland

The Earth calls and we must follow; follow with our hearts and not with our minds.

This week long residential workshop took place in one of the most beautiful and sacred places on Earth - Eire, the Emerald Isle, the land of mountains and lakes; waterfalls and green, green fields.  It is a land of mystery, magic, myth and folk lore; an ancient land where our ancestors revered the earth and built sacred sites to honour her power.

We travelled through the land, working at some of the most powerful sites in Europe.  Sites such as Loughcrew megalithic cairns built around 4,000BC with their abundance of ancient stone carvings, the Hill of Tara (the Hill of the Kings) the seat of the High Kings of Ireland, stone circles and places of extraordinary natural beauty.  We used these sites to deepen our connection with Mother Earth and to further open our hearts to our own inner wisdom, enriching our lives, making each day sacred, and part of the sacred rhythm of life.

We stayed in a magical place called Mucklagh, set within its own forest with an open fire beneath the trees and a little river.  Mucklagh is situated deep in the Wicklow Mountains surrounded by trees, lakes, waterfalls and stone circles.

Each person was supported and cared for by Eloha and Patricia who have had many years experience in working with people at a deep level assisting them in their connections to Earth.

This was an enriching and life changing workshop, taking place in a land blessed by the ancient ones, the dragons, the fairy folk, the Great Mother herself.

We immersed ourselves in the wild beauty of this extraordinary land, Ireland, walked in the footsteps of the ancestors, the earth called us and we responded!

The green dragon nurtured hills call to me
The magic and mystery of this land beckon me
Earth in all her beauty
Honoured and sanctified by the ancient ones
They left their marks on the stones of old
Calling us to discover their secrets
So we must journey, lay aside all logic
All old concepts of how it must be, and
Who we must be
To find the secrets laid so deep in our own hearts.
